Chapter 1 Babette Revealed Pt 1

Here is a little background on the main characters in this chapter, Charli David, Korde Springfield and Babette. In a previous story "The Missing Doctor" Babette abducted Korde Springfield, a doctor, thinking he was his friend and colleague, Doctor Damon Divane. Later she abducted Charli David.

Doctor Divane hosted a reality contest "Who Wants to Marry a Doctor" in order to find a wife. From amongst numerous gorgeous women, Donita Shell was picked. Doctor Divane has moved away from DaeLite City, Georgia to be with his fiance and make plans for their March wedding. Babette was a prior patient of Dr. Divane, her therapist. At the time of the abduction Babette was very unstable for reasons which will be revealed later. Charli David was second runner up in the contest which made her a perfect target of Babette's jealousy.

With help from Harley and Mai Li, the Detectives Yu and Taye find Babette and set her captives free. Now, everyone is surprised she's not in jail or a mental institute.

I know this is vague and leaves some stones unturned. Well I can't tell all of the story. I'll ruin it for you.

DollaD (next to Spanos): What do you mean she's not in custody?
Papoose (orange top): Why?
Capt. Spanos: She's a minor. Only 17. There's nothing we can do.
Vea (hat): But she's nuts. Why isn't she in the hospital then?
MiKayna (green top): Or the nuthouse. I hope she's in the nuthouse at least.
Larine (curly afro): Where is she?
Spanos: It's complicated. I just can't go into much more with you.

Taye: Man, I tell you. It feels good to be back. What a case. I feel so sorry for that girl. She just needed attention. Someone to care. Her story is tragic.
Leo (green shirt): So I hear she isn't in custody.
Taye: No unfortunately not. Wait until the girls hear. Harley had a business meeting.
She left for D.C. She'll be hot when she finds out.

Mai Li: What? She's not in jail. Why?
Yu: I'm told she's a minor. Let's change subject.
Mai Li: I know, you can't tell me anymore. Wow. This sounds complicated.
This place is so cozy. I love it here.
Yu: Me too! Very quiet. And romantic.

A week later...

Babette: I love you Korde. I would never have hurt you.
Korde: I love you too. I'm a tough guy. I didn't really think you would hurt me. But you did have me worried. Especially when you thought I was Dr. Damon.
Babette: I'm so sorry. I hope Charli understands. I didn't know what I was doing. She was so mad. The others too.
Korde: They'll understand. How about a kiss Sugar?
Babette: HeeHee! Sure. You are everything to me.
Korde: You too Babe.

Charli: A kiss? Korde, what is going on here? Why is she here? And why is she all hugged up with you?
Korde: Oh uh, hi Charli. I need to explain.
Charli: Yes, I think you have a lot of explaining to do.

Babette: Hi Ms. Charli. I'm his sister.
Charli: What? Your sister? Hunh? How? I think I need to sit down.
Korde: Yes. We all probably should.
